The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
Christian Recording artist Josh Wilson was in concert at the Union Church of La Harpe on Tuesday, July 30th.
Wilson has several songs that are currently popular on Christian stations such as K-Love (I Refuse, Fall Apart, Carry Me).
Wilson, traveling with his wife and his band, sang for almost 90 minutes. During the concert he played his guitar, keyboard, a harmonica and even whistled. His songs were lyric rich and filled with energy and encouragement.
The concert was a last minute addition to Wilson's tour. He had an open date and asked his friend, Jason Gray if he knew of any place that might host him at the last minute.
Gray, who has been to La Harpe three different times, put him in contact with the Union Church. The church felt it was an opportunity too good to pass up. They were not disappointed.
Even though there was not much time to advertise, word spread quickly and there was almost full house for the concert.
The Union Church plans to bring Wilson back to La Harpe possibly even as early as Christmas.
On August 17th the church will host the popular band, Sidewalk Prophets at the La Harpe School.
