I received "Flat Nate" in the mail with instructions to tour him around Stronghurst and teach him the fun of our small town. He learned how to set type, put a paper together, do subscriptions, and went to vote and even got an "I voted" sticker on his shirt.
He sat on the cannon, rode a golf cart, learned about Lincoln, and will return to Nathan's 3rd grade class in Urbandale, Iowa. My grandson will show his class pictures and the fun "Flat Nate" had in a small town.
