Stronghurst Post 765 of The American Legion represented by legion members Norman Menzenberg (right) and Commander Jim Blender (left) are holding national and state congratulatory certificates their post received for achieving its membership goal for 2012. This places them in the ranks of the top Posts in the state.
"By your efforts, you have demonstrated a belief that a strong membership is the basis for a strong American Legion-an organization devoted to serving veterans, their families and the community," top officials said.
The Stronghurst American Legion will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 24th at the American Legion Hall on Broadway Street. All members are encouraged to attend and other veterans interested in joining.
