The West Central Heat football team will be going to the IHSA Class 1A State Football Playoffs.
The school will be hosting a pep rally and send-off for the team and Coach Roger Kerfoot and his coaching staff to congratulate the team and wish them the best as they travel north to Stockton High School.
The Heat Players and West Central fans will gather at the high school where buses will be taken Saturday, October 27, 2012, to Stockton High School in Stockton, for the 2:00 p.m. game.
Ticket prices for the game are $5 for students and adults.
West Central will be sending a pep bus to the game. Details for the pep bus are as follows:
Cost will be $5 per person. Students and staff may sign up in the high school office and pay the $5 at that time. The public may call the office at (309) 627-2377 to sign up and pay the $5 Saturday morning. All fans riding the fan bus will be responsible for buying their own ticket to the game upon arriving at the game.
The bus will leave from in front of WCHS at 8:30 a.m.
The bus will stop on the way to the game for lunch and on the way home from the game for dinner. Those riding the bus to the game should bring money for both meals.
Sign up for the bus ends on Thursday at noon.
The pep bus will leave 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
There will be a pep assembly on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gym.
The pep assembly will be Thursday because there is no student attendance on Friday.
