The Wisdom Of Barnyard Bruke"Harvest, Presidential Debate, Romney/Heckler, Jones Sez"

Greetings to ever one in western Illinois and all readers of The Quill.

Harvest

Bean harvest is in full swing already and yields are be'n reported better than expected. The rains we has been a have'n has brought moisture levels on the bean crop more in line with tolerable expectations. The recent frost has helped eliminate some of the green stem harvest problems with the beans.

Presidential Debate

I reckon all that wanted to watched, heard of, or read about the presidential debate. As fer me and the boys, it seemed a passel of hot air came blow'n outa Colorado.

Romney's Response

To Heckler

Buster Jigs sez he heard dur'in a recent Romney campaign stop, a heckler from the audience hollered, "Hey Mitt-Witt, where are you hid'in your tax returns?"

Governor Romney politely responded, "I've found a very secure place that I'm certain they won't be found." The insistent heckler, then shouted, "And just where is that, dummy?"

Governor Romney smiled and replied, "They are underneath President Obama's college records, his immigration status as a student, and his funding sources to pay for college. What's your next question?"

Bill Jones

Political Opinions

Bill Jones sez, "Stupid is as stupid does". He made a comparison on the subject as follows:

Some folk sez the current President is stupid. (Barnyard does not think our President should be spoken of in this manner out of respect fer the office).

Anyways, after I explained this opinion to Bill Jones, Bill went on with his analogy.

Here's how stupid he is, Bill sez: The current President was hired by over 69 million voters who didn't even do a routine background check on him. He has done a less than stellar job with a record number of people out of work. He gave guns to Mexican drug gangs and empowers illegals to vote. He kills innocent people all over the world with drone strikes, and decides which laws he's gonna enforce and which ones he isn't.

He has doubled the deficit and ruined the health care system, as it was once known. And yet, Bill sez, "he still stands an excellent chance of being re-hired. How stupid is he?"

To further make his point Bill goes on to ask, "Do you remember January 3, 2007. Some folk have short memories".

On October 9, 2007, 11 months before our "economic crisis" occurred, the Dow hit it's highest point ever, closing at 14,164,53 and reaching 14,198.10 intra-day level 2 days later. Unemployment was steady at 4.7%.

Things were already be'in put in place to create the havoc we've all been experiencing since then. It all started on January 3, 2007.

This tells the story, why Bush was so "bad" at the end of his term.

Bill sez, "The day the Democrats took over was not January 22, 2009, it was actually January 3rd, 2007, which was the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.

The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listen'in to the liberals propagat'in the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.

At the time according to Bill:

The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77. The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%. The unemployment rate was 4.6%. George Bush's economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS OF JOB GROWTH

Remember the day sez Bill:

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!

Unemployment...to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5, 6 TRILLION dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!

Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie and Freddie - starting in 2001 becausee it was financially risky for the US economy.

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA, and who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrat Congress.

So when someone tries to blame Bush. REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007...THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 was the Democrat Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 and 2009 as well as 2010 and 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office.

At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during that time?

He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending.

After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th."

"Well, me will be jiggered," the boys sez to Bill Jones after he made his points. "Those points are cause to pause and reflect some of what he was a say'n."

Why Pick a Fight?

As fer me, I is a stay'n outa the debate fer now. But, I shore enough enjoys study'n the facts and not bury'n me head in the sand.

Where ever ya are, what ever ya is a do'n, Be a Good One! Don't forget church next weekend.
