Jalen Tallman of Lomax has been crowned the 2012 Draft Horse and Mule Association Queen. Her responsibilities include attending all the draft horse shows throughout the state of Illinois to award ribbons to the exhibitors.
She will also attend the Illinois State Fair in Springfield this coming August. Jalen is
honored to get this experience and very excited for a fun filled summer of shows
and meeting new people.
Jalen is currently entering her senior year at Illini West High School in Carthage.
She is the daughter of Mike and Heidi Ruebush of Lomax; the granddaughter of Vernon and Peggy Nixon of Keithsburg; Raymond and Sheryl Tallman of Keokuk, IA; Debbie Ruebush of Peoria; and Larry and Diane Ruebush of Good Hope.
She is the great granddaughter of Pauline Hobby of Lomax, Winona Bennett of Bradford, and Mary Sholl of Palmyra.
