Meet Your Neighbor, Gretchen Higgins of Biggsville, another recent graduate of the 2012 class at West Central High School.

Gretchen was born in Washington, Missouri on January 11, 1994 and raised in Biggsville.

Her parents are Ms. Susan Higgins and Richard Lutz of Biggsville and Steve Higgins of St. Louis, Missouri.

She has two siblings, her older sister, Stephanie, who is twenty-eight and works at Western Illinois Title, and her older brother Josh, who is twenty-six and is in the Air Force. He and his wife Lindsey, and daughter Lilly live in Texas.

While in High School Gretchen was involved in a variety of activities including, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Drama Club, ICTM Math Team, WYSE Team, National Honor Society and Student Council. She also helped serve at the Republican annual picnic at Delabar Park and she is a member of the United Methodist Church in Biggsville and Happy Rock Clovers 4-H Club.

Her future plans are to attend the University of Mississippi where she is enrolled for this fall and study to become a plastic surgeon.

In her spare time, Gretchen loves playing sports, volleyball is her favorite, and going on vacation and spending time with her best friends.
