The Wisdom Of Barnyard Bruke: "Rain or lack there of and Quasquicentennial Discussions"

Greetings to everyone in Western Illinois along with all those readers outside our territory. I'm a hope'n the 4th of July independence celebrations turned out well fer everyone. It's important to keep in mind what it represents and what we should be defend'n with our votes, contributions, and eternal aggressive vigilance for truth.

I'll not write much on recent rains or lack of, in deference fer those less fortunate in not receive'n any. Some folk got 4 inches, others got hail, and several areas received only enough to barely imprint the dust. Those folk, no doubt, don't want to be reminded of their missed rain chances last weekend.

The Stronghurst (125th) Quasquicentennial days, up north, seemed a big success on June 29th through July 1st. What more can I say? Ya missed out if'n ya passed up the opportunity to participate in all the "Great Fun"! Congratulations and a big thank you to all the committee members and folk involved.

The neighborhood boys and I along with others sit'n near by, met in the Stronghurst Park and discussed the recent supreme court decision on Obama-care. Several of the fellers that went to high school for a spell, had a class in "Law," which seems to them to make themselves an authority on things of this nature.

By their account it seems the left is a shout'n they won, that Obama-care was upheld. Well, they sez, let them celebrate all they wants, accord'n to Western Illinois Law involved in the discussion. The celebration might be short-lived.

It seems to those in on the discussion that maybe what really occurred in the ruling is payback for Obama's numerous ill-advised and childish insults directed toward the Supreme Court.

Chief Justice Robert's ruling actually ruled that relative to the commerce clause the mandate is unconstitutional. The commerce clause is hot the liberals got Obama-care going in the first place.

This court ruling is critical because it means congress can't compel American citizens to purchase anything -Ever. It makes the notion officially and forever, unconstitutional, or so the boys say'n.

Therefore, accord'n to our local law experts talk'n on the park bench, Justice Roberts decision states that because congress doesn't have the ability to mandate, it must, to fund Obama-care, rely on its power to tax.

Consequently, the mechanism that funds Obama-care is a tax. This point is critical. Remember back during the initial Obama-care battles, the Democrats argued Obama-care was a penalty, Republicans called it a tax.

Democrats and Obama consistently sold it as a penalty. Roberts made it the official law of the land that its a tax. Obama-care is funded by the tax dollars and must be defended as a tax increase.

Finally, the boys sez if'n states refuse money for Obama-care the Feds can not tell the states how to run a program. The Federal Government coerce the states by yank'n their existing Medicaid funding. This new rule'n means a state can decline to participate in Obama-care with out penalty. If'n several states decide not to participate in "national" health-care, its difficult to believe it is "national". The fact is, by the boys account, Roberts limits the federal governments coercive abilities by supporting states-rights.

Roberts ruled that the government cannot force people to purchase products or services under the commerce clause. He also forced liberals to face the facts and admit Obama-care is funded by the largest proposed tax increases in our nations history.

Well anyways the discussion was lively and it passed the time away in the shade between events at Stronghurst's 125th Birthday Celebration.

From Obama-care the next discussion, by the celebration attendance, at the next interlude of activities at Stronghurst was concerning facts about Romney that the media overlooks.

We learned Mitt Romney attended both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously. Even though he passed the bar, he never worked as an attorney.

As a venture-capitalist, Romney's first major business deal involved investing in a start-up office supply company with one store in Massachusetts that sold office supplies. That company, called Staples, now has over 2,000 stores and employs over 90,000 people.

Romney or his company Bain Capital (using what became known as the "Bain Way") would go on to perform the same kinds of business miracles again, and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.

Mitt Romney has given over 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his community, and his church by the conversation calculations. In 2011 he gave over 4 million dollars to charity, almost 19% of his income. This compares to Obama giving 1% and Joe Biden giving $300 or .0013%.

We know for sure,by the park bench crew, what religion Romney is and where he was born, who he has associated with and that he won't bow down to foreign powers, or squander our money on white house parties and lavish vacations. Romney won't mock religion or gun ownership and he won't appoint Supreme Justice's that will either! He will enforce the Constitution and its laws and will honor the oath of office in which h swears to do so. He Won't tell his Justice Department to not enforce the laws he doesn't agree with and will not try to stack the vote in his favor with illegal immigrants. He will not promote class warfare and blame others continually for his failures. He is not a socialist or a liar.

The conversationalists figured Romney has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the "Hope and Change" guy has failed to get us out of.

On the minus side, fer Romney, they pointed out he never had valvable experience as a "Community Organizer", never flaunted the law by take'n drugs or smoked pot. Never got skunk eyed drunk. Did not associate with communists or terrorists. Romney did not attend church whose pastor called for God to damn the U.S. and his wife is a stay at home mom which does not qualify her to have any business judgments, common political sense, or to be much of a work'n mom accord'n to top Obama strategists.

Golly Gee, they sez, Romney and wife has no experience in those areas. as Democrats, the park bench fellers talked like the might vote for Mitt.

This discussion got cut off betwixt the fellers, when the parade started and all arose with the pass'n and presentation of the Flag, hats removed, and hands over hearts.

Upon be'n seated once again, one of the discussion participants declared!" Only in America could the rich people who pay 86% of all income taxes be accused of not pay'n their "fair share' by people who don't pay any income taxes at all!"

Another of the fellers declared " Life is not fair! If'n it were we would die in the order we was born. So why is political folk always try'n to stir up everyone with class warfare by use'n the word "fair"?

By this time the German Band was to begin play'n and the horse drawn wagon rides attracted our attention. Anyways, it was time to go down to the park and get some sauerkraut and wieners from the vendors in the trailer. Those cooked oreo treats along with fresh real lemonade drink topped our time off whilst watch'n the folk get wet in the "Dunk Tank".

From that time on the celebration attendees left politics out of their discussions.

As fer me, I'm a not take'n sides and certainly won't discuss politics or religion with the sidewinders. I'm just taken it all in quietly and reflect'n on all their thoughts. They is not a gonna git my adrenaline up on a "Hot Day" like we's been a have'n!

Help to make someones day special by some act of kindness and try to stay cool the rest of the week. See ya in church come Sunday morn'n.

Keep on Smile'n
Catch ya Later
