Meet Your Neighbor Gretchen Gittings of Dallas City.
Gretchen is an "Army Brat" the daughter of John S. Gittings and Carmen Lydia Gittings. John is a retired Command Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army and he presently works at the Ordinance Plant in Middletown, Iowa.
Carmen works at a dental office in Burlington, IA. They live on the outskirts of Dallas City.
Gretchen graduated from Fort Campbell High School in 2008. She attended Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee for one year and now attends classes at Southeastern Community College in Burlington, Iowa.
She has worked at the Circle K gas station in Dallas City since March. She previously worked at a coffee shop in Tennessee for a year and was a teacher's assistant for the after school program at the Dallas City elementary school.
Gretchen has several siblings all of which live in Dallas City. John lives with Gretchen and works at Siemens, Gabby works at Buferd's and has a three year old son, Hayden. Sam attends school at Western Illinois University, and Ben and Jake who both attend Illini West High School.
Gretchen's grandfather is Lyle Gittings, who lives in Dallas City. Lyle used to run a saw mill.
One of Gretchen's favorite memories is the 3 years she lived in Germany. The sight- seeing around the country will stay in her memories forever.
Gretchens' hobbies include playing the piano, reading, and hanging out with roommate and other friends.
