Dallas Bailey had a lot to tell Santa after the lighted Christmas parade in Oquawka. The village puts an annual lighted parade on the first Saturday in December at 5:30 p.m., and Santa arrives to visit with the children. This year was one of their biggest turnouts in people and in floats.
Jeannie Dunn, Coral Seitz, Jayne Seitz, and Donna Dunn were in charge this year and did a great job, it was reported. The Boy Scouts served hot chocolate while everyone waited to visit with Santa. "The weather was so delightful!"
