Meet Your Neighbor Shauna Crawford of Stronghurst. Shauna is a graduate of the Class of 2012 from West Central High School.
Shauna was born in Burlington, IA on May 3, 1994 and raised in Stronghurst.
She is the daughter of Steve and Laura (Hicks) Crawford. Steve works at Case in the paint department and Laura is an LPN at Oaklane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst.
Shauna has one sister, Shelby, 20, who attends Western Illinois University in Macomb and works at the Pizza Hut.
Shauna has worked at Menards in Burlington, Iowa for two years and as a cashier at Riverland FS until she recently took military leave on August 1st.
At West Central High School some of Shauna's activities were Cheerleading, Dance Squad, and Dance Captain.
In her spare time, Shauna enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Shauna is currently enlisted in the United States National Guard and is attending Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill in Lawton Oklahoma. She will be there for 10 weeks of basic training.
After graduating from Basic Combat Training in October, Shauna will attend an Advanced Individual Training school at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri to receive training in her Military Occupational Specialty as a Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Specialist (CBRN Specialist) which will take another 12 weeks of special training.
Shauna will return home to Henderson County at the end of January and will begin studies in college in the summer of 2013 on the path to a Bachelor's degree in the Medical Field.
