The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
The annual community-wide Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the Bank of Stronghurst and the Stronghurst Lions Club, took place this past Saturday, April 7th in the Stronghurst Village Park.
Organizers reported a great turnout and a beautiful day this year with around 130 children eagerly waiting to hunt eggs at the 1:00 p.m. start time.
In addition to the 1500 colorful eggs with prizes tucked inside, the children found bubbles, sunglasses, candy, animal crackers, chips, pinwheels, and many more items. It made adults dream of the possibilities if their had been a special category just for them!
Each child present received a small stuffed bunny.
One lucky winner in each of the four age groups won either a Lady Bug or a Caterpillar.
Organizers said they are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Stronghurst park next year.
This year's winners of the Easter baskets are:
Age 0-3 Brooklyn Eisnnicher
Pre K - K Ashton Roller
