Kyle Burgus took "The Quill" along to Camp Pendleton in California. He stayed with Charlie and Kayla Smith. Charlie, just back from Afghanistan, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pirtle of Stronghurst. Kayla, a photographer, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Burgus of Stronghurst. Kyle is a freshman at WIU and is majoring in law enforcement. He plans on being employed as an Illinois State Policeman. During Spring break he enjoyed laying on the private beach on Camp Pendleton. Del mar Beach is one of the premier beaches of California. When you go on a trip, take "The Quill" along and have your picture taken with it, then send it to us. Let's see where all "The Quill" can travel.
