Meet your neighbor Florence J. Walker of La Harpe.
Florence was born in Oroville, California in August of 1953. She is the daughter of Charles E. and Florence L. Pauley Robertson.
Florence graduated from Los Plumas High School in 1971 and Stafford College in California in 2010.
Her previous employment was in Peoria for about 4 1/2 years. She was also a C.N.A.
She is the widow of Gregory Walker.
Florence has two brothers.
Charles E. Robertson, Sr. and his wife Tessie and two children-Edna Florence Wright, 40 and Charles E. Robertson, Jr., 38;
Roger S. Robertson is retired. He has one daughter, Toshua LeaAnn, 38, who is a radio dispatcher.
Florence has two daughters:
Opal Cristine is married to Scott Isom and live in Paxton, Illinois with their 5 children, Caleb-17,Alyssa-15, Alec-13, Joshua-6 and Lillian-4.
Barbara Martinez lives in Hopewell, Pennsylvania with her husband, Sergio. They have one son, Xavier, 13.
Florence also has one adopted son, Riley who is 7.
Florence says getting her degree in bookkeeping is an accomplishment.
Florence was a Girl Scout leader in the eighty's.
One of her favorite vacation memories is going to the beach with her aunt and uncle to fish and look for seashells.
Some of her hobbies include reading, crocheting, walking, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding.
She also enjoys dancing, listening to music, and singing in the choir.
Florence says," I have met some really nice people here in La Harpe. Some have helped me through a trying time when my husband died. Some others have helped me through other trying times."
