Raritan Sets Trick or Treat Time, President Resigns

Trick or Treat night was set for Raritan on October 31, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Raritan Board meeting.

Also President Richard Knapp submitted his resignation effective December 1, 2011.

The Trustees met in the meeting room of the Raritan Firehouse October 13, with trustees Blender, Anders, Powless, Magee and Knapp answering roll call. Visitor was Jeremy Walters.

Jeremy Walters was present asking the board what he needed to do to get his property in proper order. We are set to go to court on this matter November 2, 2011. He was given several suggestions about what needed to be done in order to get his property in compliance.

A motion was made by trustee Blender seconded by trustee Powless to give $1,000.00 for the new cemetery gates. Motion carried.

In other business, the minutes and bills were approved and the following ordered paid: PDC $43.50; AmerenIP $1,421.48; Dallas Rural Water $695.22; Waste Management $914.60; Phil Anders $162.00, Dennis Rankin $154.70, Jay Blender $270.00, Dallas Rural Water $100.00.
