Meet your neighbor, Tony Chapin of La Harpe born to Ernest "Chap" and Bonnie Chapin on April 9th, 1977 in Burlington, Iowa.
He was raised in La Harpe and graduated from La Harpe High School in 1995.
Tony is employed at Pella Corporation in Macomb and has been there for almost 4 years. Before Pella, Tony worked at Methode Electronics for 12 years.
Tony is married to Sandra Chapin and together they have 4 children, Brady (12), Alyssa (8), Kendra (6), and Carter, who is 5. All of the children attend La Harpe schools.
Sandra worked for Ayerco in La Harpe before they closed.
Tony's parents Bonnie and Chap are both retired and both worked in the grocery business. Chap spent most of his career in La Harpe at Gene and Bev's (currently R&D Foods) before moving on to Thompson Food Basket in Macomb where he finished his career.
Bonnie spent her career at Gene and Bev's making the delicious donuts that everyone enjoys.
Tony's siblings are Mark (Audrey) Melvin, Dave (Bev) Melvin, Kelly (Larry ) Williams, all of La Harpe, Terry (Teresa) Melvin of Plymouth, Paul (Jane) Chapin of Cuba, and Kathy (Roger) Lee of Chatham. There are numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews too many to list.
Tony's grandparents were Ada and Everett Chapin and Brian and Garnett Johnson. He is a diehard St. Louis Cardinals fan, Fighting Illini, and Illini West Chargers fan.
His hobbies include busting the chops of any Chicago Cubs fan or Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He loves to coach baseball in the summer, spending time with his immediate and extended families and attending any athletic events near or far.
