Western Illinois branches of First State Bank of Illinois recently held fundraisers in support of the Dalton family from Joplin, Missouri and the efforts of many in the area to rebuild a home for them.
Each branch - La Harpe, Carthage, Macomb, Hamilton, Blandinsville, Monmouth, and Colusa - held a fundraiser which ranged from bake and craft sales, to skipping a meal and donating the money that would have been spent on that meal, to a pie-in-the-face contest.
In total the branch fundraisers and the matching funds from First State resulted in a donation of $2,673.26.
