Spring has sprung! With a few mild frosts here and there, many construction and remodeling jobs have been started and some are already completed for the year.
Not to mention, can't forget, the road construction underway on Highway 9 towards Blandinsville.
Driving around town, it is nice to see all the folks that are remodeling their homes this year and taking pride in the fact that their homes make La Harpe look great.
On Main Street, Colten and Donita Foster put a new roof on their home with the help of the Amish.
Jamie Hallowell is also getting a new metal roof. The Harkeys on East Archer have spruced up their home with new siding and a cranberry metal roof. Neal Patterson is getting a new roof on his trailer by the old Dollar General building. Gary and Shana Jackson have built on a new addition to their home and have a new metal roof as well.
Matt Swanson, in the country east of La Harpe, has a beautiful new paint job on his two story home. Many more have been noticed and all add up to an improved neighborhood.
