The La Harpe City Council met for their regular meeting March 28, 2011 at 7:00 pm. Aldermen present: Todd Irish, Brian Lovell, Marcia Stiller, Michael Bennett, Vicki Burford, Darrell Kraft, Treasurer-Marcia Neff, City Clerk-Lucretia McPeak, and Mayor-Kenneth Brown.
Also present were: Christy Kienast, Dan Gillett, and Doug Endres.
Motions were made and carried to approve and accept the treasurer's report, and to pay all bills.
Motions were made and carried to:
-donate $600.00 toward the Fred Gibb Car Show
-paint the water tower the same color
-donate $400.00 to Golden rule for the advertising and Kid's games for Summerfest
The Consolidated elections are Tuesday, April 5th.
City wide clean-up is Friday, May 20th.
Cemetery clean-up is April 1st - April 15th.
Nursing home Open House is April 9th, from 11 am - 2 pm.
Fences will be installed in the park in front of the school monument, and the Lincoln Rail to protect them from vehciles.
The city received the sales tax for December, but is still waiting on 3 months of back sales tax from the state.
Regular meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm.
The next scheduled regular council meeting will be April 11, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
