Meet Your Neighbor

Meet Your Neighbor Kylee Hendrickson, a new employee of The Alternative in Stronghurst.

Kylee was born in Macomb and raised in the Raritan area.

In 2007 she graduated from Southern High School and continued her education by receiving her degree, in December of 2010, in cosmetology at Capri College in Davenport, Iowa.

Her parents are Kyle and Toni (Boyd) Hendrickson.

Kyle is a truck driver for Wal-Mart in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and mom, Toni, is employed at Small World Pre-School and Daycare and Stronghurst Christian Church.

Kylee has one brother, Josiah Boyd who lives in Davenport, Iowa and is a tattoo artist, and a sister, Holly (Tyler) Robinson who live in Joliet. Holly attends the Culinary/Art Institute in Chicago and Tyler is a computer technician in Joliet.

Kylee attends the Stronghurst Christian Church.

In her spare time she enjoys going to the movies, attending performances of various bands in the Quad Cities and doing her passion, playing the drums.

In high school she went on a mission trip to an Navaho Indian Reservation in Arizona for 12 days. She was accompanied by other high schoolers from New London, Iowa, and Monmouth.

While there they demolished stucco homes and rebuilt new ones in their place. They also painted and led Vacation Bible School with the younger Indian children.

While in Arizona they were able to do some hiking in the Navaho Canyon and also in the Grand Canyon.
