The President and Trustees of the Village of Raritan met in the meeting room of the Raritan Fire House July 14, 2011 with trustees Blender, Waller, Knapp, Powless, Magee and Anders answering roll call.
Trustee Blender opened with prayer.
Bills presented were all approved as follows:

Dave Schaub from Waste Management was present explaining how we can add commercial properties to our contract.
Larry Thompson was present to go over the village insurance. Amount owed for insurance by the village to Thompson Insurance is $3,358.00. A motion was made by trustee Waller, seconded by trustee Blender to pay above bill. Motion carried.
Larry Thompson had a building permit from Travis Winters to move the present garage to the back of their yard and build a two story addition 24 by 30 to there present home. The Zoning Board recommended approval of this building permit. A motion was made by trustee Knapp, seconded by trustee Waller to approve this request. Motion carried.
A discussion was held about the Strode property which is in need of mowing. A motion was made by trustee Knapp, seconded by trustee Powless to hire someone to mow the property. Motion carried.
A motion by trustee Waller, seconded by trustee Powless and unanimous approval of the board the meeting was adjourned to the next regular meeting night. Motion carried.
