Meet Your Neighbor Bill Knupp of Carman.
He was born in Monmouth and raised east of Lomax.
Bill graduated from Southern High School in Stronghurst. He then attended Illinois State University for two years. In addition, he has also had some trade schooling and takes continuing education classes for his insurance career to keep him current and up to date on all the changes that take place.
He is currently employed by Doran Insurance and Services in Stronghurst as an Insurance Agent. He previously worked for Centre State International selling trucks.
Bill and wife, Deb, have been married for 15 years. She is a surveyor for The Department of Inspections and Appeals for the State of Iowa. They have one daughter, Shawna (Billy) Taylor and one grandchild, James.
His parents are John and Carol Knupp of rural Stronghurst.
He has three sisters, Linda Dameron, Connie Freyenberger, and Nancy Sander; and one brother, Jim Knupp.
He attends the Methodist Church in Carman.
In his spare time Bill loves flying his airplane, hunting and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Some of his favorite memories are of the traditional family reunion held every year in Missouri and getting away to their house at Table Rock Lake in Missouri.
Bill enjoys being active and getting involved in various organizations. He is a member of the Eagles Club in Burlington, Iowa, the Experimental Aircraft Association, served as a volunteer for the air show in Burlington, Iowa, serves on the Lomax Ducks Unlimited committee and is just getting started working with the Henderson County Economic Corporation.
