A Little Glitter Planned For Relay-For-Life

July 29 is quickly approaching for us all. The event we have been planning for the past nine months and that so many community members have spent time fundraising for is almost here.

The Relay For Life of Henderson County will have a Hollywood theme this year as we celebrate and remember our cancer survivors by giving them the red carpet treatment for a night.

The festivities will start at West Central High School at 6 p.m. with open ceremonies and a series of laps for our cancer survivors and caretakers.

The activities will continue throughout the night with youth games and music for all ages. Food vendors will be open during the evening and teams will be selling various food products to continue their fundraising efforts that evening.

Along with all of these activities you may join us for some additional exercise as our teams walk the track during our 12 hour event because cancer never sleeps.

There will be special team sign up for the 2012 Relay For Life event and you can talk to any committee at the event to get additional information.

You may also make donations at the accounting tent that night.

The Relay For Life of Henderson County is a free event that is open to all community members. We hope that you bring your family and friends to West Central High School on July 29 to join us for a night of celebration, remembrance, and fighting back.
