Meet Your Neighbor Stephanie Arnold of Oquawka.
Stephanie is employed as Senior Services Director at the Henderson County Health Department in Gladstone.
She is in charge of home delivered meals, the congregate meal program, 60 plus transportation and I and A (Information and Assistance) and various other tasks.
She replied, "If I don't know the answer to a question when a senior calls in, I will find it and get back to them."
She was born in Galesburg and raised in the Oquawka area.
In 1992 Stephanie graduated from Union High School. She said, "My further education has been "on the job' training! I have had lots of help from my mentor, Connie Shinberger.
She has taught me all different areas concerning my position."
Her mother is Rhenae, step-dad Steven Robbins, and dad, Steven Purchase. Mom, Rhenae, is employed by the Henderson County Health Department as a cook and her step-dad is employed at J. I. Case. Steven is a mechanic with the IDOT.
Michael is her hubby of 2 1/2 years and employed at Agri-Sources in Gladstone.
Their children are Mari Hunter (16), a sophomore at West Central High School, Madison Hunter (8), second grader at West Central Elementary School, Steven (24), and Angel Arnold (19).
Stephanie has one sister, Shani Hasley, who is employed by KCDDD in Galesburg and a brother, Sean Robbins, hospitality manager at Carlos O' Kelly's.
Spending time with family and friends, reading and learning new things is what Stephanie enjoys.
When asked what she likes most about her job she said, "Helping people; I love helping people."
