Eagles 7th Grade Boys Regional Champs - 22-0

The La Harpe 7th grade boys basketball team was seeded 1st in their regional.

Having a bye in the first round, the Eagles needed to wait to see who they played. West Prairie beat Unity, so the Eagles would play West Prarire.

On Monday, January 24th, the Eagles would travel to Mendon to take on the Cyclones.

The Eagles came out fired up against the Cyclones with a halftime score of 24 to 6 and going on to win 45 to 20.

Leading the scoring was Donnie Wetterling and Kyle Tanner with 11 points, Jacob Douglas with 10 points, Spencer Ferguson with 7 points, Tray Stokke, Jensen Corzatt, and Dawson Ryner scoring 2 points.

On Wednesday, January 26th, the La Harpe 7th grade basketball team traveled back to Mendon to play for the championship playing Carthage who was seeded 2nd.

The Eagles wasted no time in playing good defense and stealing passes.

The Eagles scored 24 points in the first quarter to the Blue Boys 7.

The Eagles would go on to win the championship game against Carthage by a score of 58 to 27.

Leading all scores and the only Eagle to score in the fourth quarter was Tray Stokke with 16 points, scoring 10 of those points in the 4th quarter, Jacob Douglas with 14 points, Donnie Wetterling with 11 points, Jensen Corzatt with 6 points, Kyle Tanner with 5 points, Spenser Ferguson with 4 points,and Dawson Ryner with 2 points. The La Harpe 8th grade boys basketball team will start regional play as soon as the weather allows.
