The Village of Raritan trustees met in the Raritan Fire House August 11, with all present and visitor David Schaub from Waste Management.
Waste Management contract for residents and commercial solid waste collection and disposal service for June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2015 was approved.
A discussion was held about selling two of the vacant lots in the village which was approved for $1500.00 each and used for a new residence only.
The Annual Appropriation Ordinance and Tax Levy was presented: Annual Appropriation $260,000.00. Tax Levy $4,660.00. Motion was made by trustee Blender to approve above Annual Appropriation and Tax Levy as presented. Above motion was seconded by trustee Magee. Motion carried.
A discussion was held about selling the ball lights at the ball park. It was decided to check with the village attorney to see if the village can sell the ball lights for $4,000.00 Trustee Blender made a motion seconded by trustee Anders to approve the above.
