Illini West Board Vacates Tax Anticipation Warrants

The motion authorizing tax anticipation warrants approved at the April 28 meeting of the Illini West Board, was vacated at a special board meeting Tuesday, May 18th.

Instead, IW District Board members approved a motion to approve a Resolution to issue a promissory note not to exceed $500,000 in anticipation of the collection of taxes levied for the year 2010 was approved.

The Illini West HSD #307 board approved the IWHS Curriculum Guide for 2010-2011. Credit for the classes of Band and Chorus was increased from one-quarter to one-half credit per semester beginning with the 2010-2011 school year.

The Illini West board also approved several personnel items including:

• Employing Tim Yex as a summer custodian for 2010;
• Approving a 4 week extension on the contract of Ann Lo gan, Guidance Counselor, for 2010-2011;
• Employing Kim Schilson, incoming Superintendent, as a consultant during the month of June for a maximum of 12 days.
