Mr. Phillip Geiser, Retiring Principal recognized the top ten scholars in the graduating class of 2010 at West Central. The top ten are: Erin Suerrette Bavery, daughter of Floyd Bavery and Ms. Susan Bavery; Ashli Morgan Burg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Burg; Shelby Leah Crawford, daughter of Mr. and Steven Crawford; Justine Nichole Dillard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Dillard; Kayla Mae Hinshaw, daughter of Ms. Nancy Hinshaw; Kendra Denise Kelly, daughter of Clark Kelly and Denise Jones; Michael Alfred Lawrence Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Lewis; Luci Ann Lox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Lox; Mallory Nicole Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Nelson; and Andrew Scott Postle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Postle.
Mr. Geiser also announced the BOARD ACADEMIC EXCELLENT AWARDS: Recepients of this prestigious honor have achieved a 4.0 grade point average for the 2009-2010 Senior Year: Samantha Arnold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Arnold of Media; Erin Bavery, daughter of Mr. Floyd Bavery of Stronghurst, and Ashli Burg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Burg Stronghurst.
The F.I.R.E. Service Club is a new organization this school year to provide opportunity for students to work on a volunteer basis to assist the community.
