The La Harpe City Council met March 22, at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 27 is the La Harpe Easter Egg Hunt in the La Harpe City Park.
Friday, May 7 is La Harpe City Wide Clean-Up.
April 1st -15th is Cemetery Clean-Up. Items must be removed before April 1st, and may be put back after April 15.
The Works Committee discussed garbage contracts, the sewer and water evaluations. The city will proceed with the inspection and cleaning of the interior of the water tower.
The City of La Harpe has received $7400.00 in state Income Tax for November 2009. Illinois is behind 4 months, owing the city approximately $32,000.00 in back tax money.
Lucretia McPeak was appointed Freedom of Information Act officer, with Marcia Neff and Justin Livingston as 2nd and 3rd officers.
A $100 donation was approved for IW Post Prom event
All Aldermen were present: Irish,Lovell, Stiller, Bennett, Vicki, Darrell, Treasurer-Marcia Neff, City Clerk-Lucretia McPeak, and Mayor-Kenneth Brown. Guests were: Dan Gillett, and Doug Endres.
The next scheduled regular council meeting will be April 12, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
