Meet your neighbor, Gerry Roark, who resides in Media.
Gerry currently works at the Bank of Stronghurst as a management trainee. He completed his internship with the bank last summer and was hired on full time after his graduation in May of 2010.
Gerry was born in Burlington, Iowa and raised in Media. He graduated from West Central High School in 2006 where he played basketball for the "Heat" and Blackburn College in Carlinville in 2010 graduating Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Management.
Blackburn is a Presbyterian related liberal arts college.
He was a member of alpha Chi, National Honor Scholarship Society.
He is the son of Nick and Jo Ellen Roark of Media. He has one sister, Nicole (B.J.) Nance of Hamburg and one nephew, Bud Nance.
Gerry is a member of the Presbyterian Church in Media.
In his spare time he enjoys being outdoors, fishing, playing pitch and playing various sports, including, baseball, basketball, golf and bowling.
One of his favorite memories is of the birth of his nephew, Bud. Gerry says, "We are very family oriented so it was a very special time for all of us".
