Red Ribbon Week: Stick-to-it-ive-ness Helps Fight Drugs

Being a good sport is part of what a teacher does to help fight drugs.

Mrs. Lisa Miller, 6th grade West Central science teacher, had the honor of being taped to the wall during a West Central Middle school morning assembly during Red Ribbon Week. How did she win this honor you ask?

During lunch hour of Red Ribbon Week, the members of the WCMS Student Council had students vote for the teacher that they would most like to receive this privilege. They could also buy tape to participate in the actually taping.... Mrs. Miller was their pick.

The Student Council raised $50 which they donated to the K-9 unit to help with the fight against drug abuse in our schools. The Student Council gave a big thank you to Mrs. Miller for her "stick-to-it-ive-ness."
