Meet Your Neighbor

Meet Your Neighbor Jacque McGraw who lives in Stronghurst. She is an C.N.A. (Certified Nursing Assistant) at Oak Wood Estates. Jacque's first job was at Oak Wood Estates when it opened last fall in October of 2009.

She was born in Monmouth and raised in the Monmouth-Stronghurst area.

In 2003 Jacque graduated from Southern High School and continued her education at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa, where she received her C.N.A.

Jacque has twin daughters, Kailee and McKenna, who will be 3 years old in May.

Her mother, Diana Dugan, lives in Stronghurst and is employed at the Warren-Henderson County Extension Office. Kailee and McKenna's name for their grandma is "Pumpkin".

She has one brother, Justin, who lives in Stronghurst and works at McDonalds in Burlington, IA.

Jacque's ^grandparents are Tom and Jean Crotts of Stronghurst.

Scrapbooking, making greeting cards, spending time with her girls, and family and friends are her favorite things to do.

One night a month Jacque travels to Burlington, IA, and either does "Stamping Up" (card making) or scrapbooking. She loves working on photo albums for her twins.

She said, "having twins was quite an experience. I found out I was having the twins when I was 11 weeks along but it was a long pregnancy! We have other sets of twins in our family. There are two sets of twins that are half siblings and a cousin also has a set of twins. But I did not expect I would have twins".

When asked what she liked about Oak Wood Estates her reply was, "It is such a relaxed atmosphere and the residents make me feel like family and the staff is great to work with. I enjoy going to work each day".
