City Council Says Information Meeting for Biodiesel plant 18th

The La Harpe City Council met February 8, with all Aldermen present and heard an Informational Meeting is set with Jon Hall President/CEO of Bio-NRG, L.L.C. concerning his Biodiesel plant coming to La Harpe, at the Annex across the highway from R&D Foods on February 18th at 7:00 p.m..

The Council passed the "Johnson Resolution." Tuesday, February 9th at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall is a finance committee meeting. The Mayor presented Girl Scout Troops 5051 and 5049 with a certificate for their holiday lighting of the city park.

Besides Todd Irish, Brian Lovell, Marcia Stiller, Michael Bennett, Vicki Burford, Darrell Kraft, Treasurer-Marcia Neff, City Clerk-Lucretia McPeak, Mayor-Kenneth Brown, guests present were: Justin Livingston, David Livingstone, Willo Shutwell, Daniel Carpenter, Roger Hughes, Wayne Humphrey, Richard Rasmussen, Dan Gillett, Doug Endress, Christy Kienast, Kellie Allaman, Annie Sholl, Kelly Sirtak, Logan Holt, Tina Lionberger, Mike Lionberger, Baileigh Lionberger, Kataya Huss, Kaytlyn Van Fleet, Meryl Butler, Lindsay Sirtak, Jordan Holt, Raelee Hood, and Lily Lionberger.

The January minutes, treasurer's report, and paying of all bills. were approved and meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m. The next meeting will be February 22, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at La Harpe City Hall.

The La Harpe City Council awarded GIrl Scouts a certificate in appreciation for illuminating the City Park in La Harpe during the holidays. Mayor Brown said, "We are proud of you and your efforts in keeping the City Park beautiful." Scouts are: Troop 505- Christy Kienast, Kellie Allaman, Annie Sholl, Kelly Sirtak, Logan Holt. Troop 5049- Tina Lionberger, Baileigh Lionberger, Kataya Huss, Katlyn VanFleet, Meryl Butler, Lindsay Sirtak, Jordan Holt, Raelee Hood, Lily Lionberger.
