La Harpe School Board Meeting

At La Harpe school board's rescheduled Nov. 15 meeting, all board members were present to discuss the Health/Life Safety Amendment and Bond Sale, the IWHS Transportation agreement, a school bus lease, policy updates and considered a leave request.

The board approved:

• Preliminary Tax Levy with a 1.8771% increase. Final levy adoption will take place at the Dec. 21 meeting.
• Employment of Dede Beachy and Jeni Richardson -full-time one-to-one aides, and Deanna Hartrick-junior high head volleyball coach.
• Risk Management Plan, Christmas gift cards for staff, resolution to vote for Gwen Henry for IMRF Executive Trustee position.
• Deletion of closed session recordings 18 mos. ago.
