Supt. Campbell gave the financial report adding that only 2 of the 4 state payments in Special Ed. and Transportation would be received in this fiscal year and the state is still using ARRA monies to make the 4th quarter General State Aid payments, with no indication that districts will receive all 6 GSA payments next year.
Supt. Campbell stated that an education jobs stimulus bill has been introduced, but has not yet passed.
The La Harpe building committee continues planning to bring all district facilities under one secure roof in the future with building updates, an addition and demolition projects.
These projects are still being honed in the planning stages ahead of school construction grant funding, which may become available in a few years.
Supt. Campbell reported that the state-funded portion of these district projects would be above 74%, and at the time grant money is available, a building plan may be scaled back, but it may not be expanded.
In addition to approving previous board minutes, the financial report and payment of bills, the school board discontinued annual physicals and TB tests for cafeteria personnel, approved the first reading of policy updates, and approved the deletion of closed session recordings made at least 18 months prior to the current meeting as per district policy 2:220.

La Harpe Junior High solo and ensemble contest participants brought home several first and second place honors from West Central, and band students enjoyed a practice and performance experience at Illini West with combined area junior and senior high musicians.

La Harpe School held preparedness drills for fire, reverse evacuation, and lockdown situations.
8th grade girls attended a presentation by Bobi James on leadership and summer volleyball camps will be held at La Harpe.
