I have to share with you my excitement in having my children and grandchildren home this past weekend.
It's a rare thing when everyone can be together but our youngest Matthew, made a plan and kept in touch with his siblings until we had 100% in attendance: 14 adults and 19 grandchildren totaling 33. They all rolled in Thursday evening and a huge pan of Maidrites with trimmings was ready and waiting.
Troy brought a camper for his five and parked it in the yard along side a Gazebo/tent we had set up that was fully screened with three love seats inside. The yard had been professionally sprayed for ticks and mosquitos and there were lots of torches lit. We had our own campground and the grandkids kept busy in the yard. Each family bought and prepared for a meal, and one evening we had popcorn and movie night outside projecting onto a sheet hung on the camper. We had S'mores over a campfire and lots of fun together.
After they left, the house sure was quiet, but full of wonderful memories.
