March Winds Will Blow:

by Dessa Rodeffer, Quill Publisher/Owner

March 11, 2009

The winds of March will bring in some pretty gusty wind but hopefully after St. Patrick's Day it will also bring in Spring on the 20th.

The robins have already been flocking in the neighbors' yards and I read where March is the homeowner's month because it's the time to put away the snow shovel, but not yet time to get out the lawn mower. So, again, it's a nice time to kick back and relax a little bit before Spring cleaning arrives.

Coming home from Indianapolis on Sunday, Michael and I just hit some pretty strong rain and wind.

We seen later where it ripped off roofs in Champaign, and we think it was right after we went through.

In Hannah City at a Caseys, it was hard to walk from the car to the Casey's entrance and as we approached, a door flew open and caught a lady's wrist and cut it, knocking her glass of drink onto a parked car.

It was good to finally get home and park the car into the garage after the five hour drive.

Michael and I enjoyed listening to a John Grisham book on tape which helped pass the time called "Playing For Pizza," a little bit of a twist for a Grisham novel.

We enjoyed learning about Italian life, life in Parma where Par-me-san Cheese is made and about life as a football player.

If traveling, expect some foul weather in March, and carry an umbrella, a blanket, gloves, boots, an extra jacket and sweater, and a good book, even an overnight bag in case the weather forces you off the road. You just never know...when the March wind will blow and we might have snow.
