Michael Mayer and Curtis Mayer took "The Quill Along" on a motorcycle road trip out west, making it all the way to California.Ê Along the way they saw the Rocky Mountains, the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, and Las Vegas. The picture was taken at the Grand Canyon where they decided to spend the day hiking down to the Colorado River and back (a 16 mile round trip horizontally and a one mile change in elevation (what a horrible idea!). Even though they were a little sore by the time they got back they enjoyed the trip immensely.
