On August 29, 2009 Bill and Cerece Hasten and their daughters, Janel Schneider and Jill Dyer traveled to Hartford, Connecticut for the wedding of Jose Andrade. Jose is the son of Maria Vasconez. Maria lived with the Hasten's as an exchange student from Ecuador in 1972. Maria, her mother, her brother, daughter and grandchildren attended the wedding from Quito, Ecuador. The Hasten's had a wonderful time remembering the good times they had while Maria was here in La Harpe. She recalled the many fond memories of friends, teachers and experiences she had while in Illinois.
