March 4, 2009- President Dale Allenbaugh, of the Village of Biggsville board presided over the March meeting with trustees Marilyn Evans, Jennifer Hopkins, Gloria Minard, Bob Onion, and Brian Sterett, and Clerk-Frank Jones and Treasurer-Gloria Jones.
Trustee Brian Cochran was absent, and two visitors attended: Rich Plate and Randy Anderson.
After usual procedures of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, taking roll call and approving the minutes, treasurer's report, and bills, Rich Plate asked what could be built on his property in Biggsville.
Dale Allenbaugh will meet with Mr. Plate and walk the property and discuss the building possibilities.
President Allenbaugh reported that the housing rehab program needs three more houses in the target area.
Allenbaugh also reported the trustees will need to select a president pro-tem for two years. Two positions still remain for two trustees for two years.
He also reported that Rural Development and the village engineer are working on the details required for the water grant application.
Allenbaugh discussed who will own the waterline from Media to Biggsville. Dale asked the trustees, and they favored owning the line.
President Allenbaugh read a letter from Jackson Disposal offering to pick up recycling at curb side for $3.00. They didn't say how many times per month.
Clerk Frank Jones advised the board that Kevin Mortimer is resigning from the recycle position at the end of March.
In other reports-
Public Relations-The Biggsville Presbyterian Church is planting a large garden to supply the Henderson County Food Pantry and they need volunteers to work in the garden.
Dale Allenbaugh suggested the village have a village wide spring cleanup day. This is for yard waste only and no trash. The village will haul the yard waste away. This is scheduled for April 18, 2009, with the rain date of April 25th.
Sewer- The gutter needs fixed on the building at the lagoon.

The next regular meeting will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at the Biggsville Community Building. The public is invited to attend all board meetings.
