The La Harpe City Council met for their regular meeting July 13, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
All Aldermen were present.
Motions were made and carried to accept the June minutes, and accept and approve the treasurer's report and pay bills.
Also present were: Greg Butler, Dan Gillett, Larry Finch, Willo Shutwell, Richard Rasmussen, Roger Hughes, Wayne Humphrey, Tim Graves, and Doug Endres.
Motions were made and carried to pass the Special Events Ordinance #2009-4, renew the Ayerco liquor license, Accept Resolution 2009-B, a natural hazards mitigation plan, To pay $450.00 to have the city water drainage sprayed for mosquitoes, and to hire Rick Sturek for part-time weekend water department help.
Greg Butler was present to discuss the city audit.
The Finance committee reported on interviewing applicants for the water department position.
The Public Safety committee will meet to discuss issues with the Dodge squad car.
The city received the appraisal for the empty lot on main street.
Dallas City will be celebrating their 150th anniversary, with a car show on Sunday, the 19th.
