Meet your neighbor Garrie Jones.
He was born in La Harpe and raised in Hamilton. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1968. He has two daughters.
Jones is retired from the Bureau of Prisons in Terre Haute, IN where he worked for twenty-two years.
Jones is currently running the La Harpe Barber Shop and also Ruby's Barber Shop in Carthage.
He attended barber college in 1970 and has been cutting hair since he retired in November 2005.
He has been working at the barber shop two days at 103 S. Center St. in La Harpe for four months on Thursday and Friday.
Jones enjoys cutting hair very much. His most memorable moments in life are the births of his two daughters.
Jones says, "live each day as if it was your last", and also "do not hold grudges and forgive everyone."
