The Quill traveled to the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, then on to Clingman's Dome, Tennessee and other sights. The fall colors were exceptionally beautiful the second and third weeks in October, reports Lyle and Margaret Oliver, of Cantral. They made it to the top of Clingman's Dome following a 1/2 mile path straight up.
