Raritan Will Shut-off Water To Those Late In Paying Bill

The Village of Raritan president and trustees met in the meeting room of the Raritan Fire House on August 13, 2009 with trustees Blender, Magee and Anders answering roll call.

A discussion was held about delinquent water bills. A motion was made by trustee Blender, seconded by trustee Anders to disconnect delinquent water bills. Motion carried.

Royal White from WIRC requested our next meeting to be held at the Opera House. He is calling the meeting at 6:00 p.m. September 8, 2009 for the village residents to learn about the CDAP Technical Grant.

A motion was made by trustee Magee, seconded by trustee Anders to have the attorney send a letter to Jeremy Walters to clean up his property. Motion carried.

A motion was made by trustee Magee, seconded by trustee Blender to have the village attorney start proceedings to condemn the Gerst property so it can be demolished. Motion carried.

It was reported that Doug Hensley did not appear at court on his court date. A new court date will be set.

A motion by trustee Blender, seconded by trustee Magee and unanimous approval of the board the meeting was adjourned to the next regular meeting night.
