Gladstone Village Board

The Village of Gladstone Board met September 8, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Building.

Those present: McKinney, Joyce Hetrick, Jim Hetrick, Hopkins, Manes, Sebastian and Stewart. Bielser was absent.

Bills ordered paid totaling $3,783.38.

Guests present were: Dick Bigger, Peter Rousonelos, Andrew Youngquist, Jeremy DeWitt, Margaret Johnson, Frankie Johnson, Pam Furnald, Russ Furnald, Connie Flake, Eric Roberts, Niki Morgan from WIRC, Ernie Waterman, Betty Waterman and FEMA representative.

All present approved a motion was made by Hopkins to have an ordinance made regarding the installation of two stop signs at the Liberty and Walnut Streets intersection making it a 4-way stop. New stop signs are on Walnut Street.

All present approved a motion, by Hetrick, to renew the 20-year contract with Nova Cablevision, Inc. by signing the cable agreement.

The replacement of a village attorney was tabled until next month.

A motion to sign the WIRC Community Action Agency site agreement was approved by all present.

A motion by Sebastian to hire Dick Bigger for water superintendent replacing Tom Morrison, seconded by Hopkins. Roll call vote taken.

Hetrick, Hopkins and Sebastian voting in favor while Manes and Stewart voted against the motion. Motion carried 3 ayes and 2 nays.

Motion made by Byron Sebastian to appoint Todd Lambertson to the zoning board trustee replacing Terry Thacker. Seconded by Manes. All approved.
