La Harpe City Council Met

The La Harpe City Council met for their regular meeting October 13,Ê 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

All Aldermen but David Carpenter were present. Motions were made and approved to approve the September minutes, and accept the treasurer's report and pay bills.

Also present were: Dan Gillett, Tim Graves, Wayne Humphrey, Roger Hughes, Richard Rasmussen, Larry Hobby, and Doug Endres.

The Sub-division committee needs to meet and go over sub-division plans.

City wide clean up went well, with exceptions to picking up T. V.s and computer monitors .

Johnson committee meeting is rescheduled for Wednesday, October 22, at 5:00 in Rasmussen's office.

The old Locker plant is down, and the burned out building on main street is scheduled to begin demolition the week of the 13th of this month.

There are now enough funds for the Veteran's Memorial Fund.

The permit for the Christmas parade November 29, 2008 was approved and passed.

WIRC will be holding a public meeting on Monday, October 27th at 6:15 p.m. at City Hall. The Girl Scouts are sponsoring a "Haunted House" next to the Annex on the east end of Main Street. Hours are from 7-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays.

The Meeting adjourned at 8:23 p.m.
