Meet your neighbor Belinda Fisher who was raised in the Berwick area.
Belinda lives in rural Oquawka with her husband, Aaron of 16 years.
She graduated from Roseville High School in 1990.
She and Aaron have two sons, Lukes (13) and Justin (10). Both boys attend West Central School.
Her parents are Richard and Linda Anderson of Galesburg. Linda is a wife, mother and grandmother and Richard does construction and remodeling projects.
She has one brother, Sam (Traci) and two daughters, Randi and Allie.
Aaron farms with his dad on the Fisher family farm and is employed by W.W. Transport in Burlington, Iowa, on weekends as a mechanic.
Belinda says, "She helps out on the farm as a gopher". She runs errands, drives the tractor, helps bale hay or whatever they need her to do.
She is very active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. She is Cub Master of Pack #61. When her husband got involved in scouts she said she was not going to be part of it and now she says, "I even volunteered for Cub Master!"
She and her husband love scouting and are very involved in every aspect of it. She also volunteers in her son's classrooms.
Her hobbies are flower and vegetable gardening and working in her herb beds. In fact, she loves anything that takes her outside.
She loves spending time with her hubby and her sons.
In her spare time, Belinda sews for her sons and Aaron, is learning to quilt (self taught), and enjoys cooking and baking, and spending time with her friends.
A vacation she recalls was about 7 years ago, when the boys were small, she traveled to West Virginia. She went with her sister and visited her goddaughter for a week.
