West Central Board In Special Meeting

In a "Special Meeting" Friday, November 7 of the West Central Community Unit School District #235 Board of Education the following items took place:

After Board President Brent called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m. in the Unit Office Conference Room, they entered closed session to discuss matters pertaining to "personnel."

They exited executive session at 9:02 am and took the following action:

• Approved two health and life safety amendments for roof work. One at the north campus and one at the Media campus;
• Directed Supt. Grimm to seek additional quotes regarding the roof work that needs to be done on the north campus and the Media campus;
• Accepted the gift of a treadmill for the fitness center from the Doctor Paul Good family.
• Approved Brandy Blender, Kayla Coffey, Mindy Morrison, Darci Renken and Richard Clifton as volunteer coaches for the WCHS girls basketball team;
• Approved a letter of resignation and separation agreement from Marta Hohenboken;
• Approved that all shuttle bus driver's rate of pay will be $20 per day effective November 7, 2008.

The board was reminded that their next meeting date is Wednesday, November 19, 2008. This meeting will begin at 6 pm and be held in the elementary cafeteria.

There being no other business to come before the board, the board adjourned the special meeting at approximately 9:20 am.
