Meet Your Neighbor Elizabeth Swan. Elizabeth resides in Stronghurst and is employed at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab as a C.N.A.
She has worked at Oak Lane five years, three as a C.N.A. and two years in housekeeping.
She was born in Burlington, IA and raised in Stronghurst.
In 2006 Elizabeth graduated from West Central High School. During her senior year, at West Central, she received her C.N.A. certification. She is now state certified and listed on the Illinois Registry of C.N.A.'s
She has one daughter, Anna Tapscott, who is sixteen months old.
Her parents are Debbie Hale who lives in Stronghurst and operates Classic Cuts beauty saloon in her home. Elizabeth's step-dad, Doug Hale, is employed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown, Iowa, as an electrician.
She loves spending time with Anna, Nick, and her family, and shopping for those cute girly clothes for Anna.
Elizabeth says, "Anna loves to play outside at Grandma Bobbi's."
One of the advantages of working at Oak Lane is that Elizabeth is able to spend time with her grandma, Louise White who is a resident.
A memory that Elizabeth will never forget is when her cousin dared her, when she was three years old, to jump out of a swing, she jumped but also broke her leg in the process. A memorable occasion indeed!
