Sonny and Janie Farquhar of Roseville, took The Quill along as they visited their son Pat and his wife, Amber, and daughters, Katie and Lauren in Winterville, North Carolina from March 21-28. While there, they enjoyed a side trip to the Outer Banks and spent the night on Ocracoke Island. They enjoyed time on the beach, although it was a little cool, rode bicycles around the area, and saw the Ocracoke Lighthouse. In order to get to the island they took a three-hour ferry boat ride, a new experience for them.
